About the role
We are seeking a Transaction Tax Analyst to support indirect tax compliance for a manufacturing organization in Englewood, Colorado. The analyst will ensure accurate tax filings, monitor regulatory changes, and collaborate with finance and business teams to maintain reliable reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and submit indirect tax returns (sales, use, beverage, etc.) within deadlines.
- Coordinate payment requests and track filing calendars for timely remittance.
- Create month‑end journal entries and perform account reconciliations related to tax.
- Handle non‑income tax compliance activities such as unclaimed property reporting, business license renewals, and registration updates.
- Assess new inventory items to confirm correct tax treatment.
- Assist with state and local tax audits by compiling documentation and analyzing data.
- Research transactional tax regulations, interpret legislative updates, and communicate changes.
- Review and respond to tax notices, investigate discrepancies, and work toward resolution.
- Partner with finance leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to support accurate tax reporting.
- Contribute to tax technology upkeep, internal documentation, and compliant collection practices.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 0‑2+ years of experience with sales and use tax compliance.
