Training Systems Manager

About the role

Moog’s Space and Defense group is seeking a Training Systems Manager to lead the design, development and delivery of training programs that equip employees with the skills needed for current and future business demands. Based in Blacksburg, Virginia, you will work onsite and report to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement training strategies aligned with organizational performance and growth.
• Assess workforce skills, identify gaps and lead initiatives to close them.
• Ensure compliance with internal Quality Management Systems, industry regulations and customer requirements.
• Design, deliver and evaluate training programs across technical and professional disciplines.
• Partner with operations, HR and leadership to align training with business goals.
• Measure training effectiveness and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Manage training systems, tracking, reporting and documentation for compliance and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing or technical operations, with strong knowledge of production processes and continuous‑improvement practices.
• At least 3 years of experience in training, development or coaching in a technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality systems.
• Proven ability to develop and implement training curricula.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience working in team‑based, cross‑functional environments.
• Willingness to travel as required.
