Training Specialist

About the role

The Training Specialist will coordinate and deliver training programs for Walden University staff, supporting new hires and ongoing employee development. Working in a hybrid environment, the role collaborates closely with project managers, functional teams, and subject‑matter experts to ensure training aligns with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and conduct onboarding training for new employees.
• Identify training needs by consulting with managers and stakeholders.
• Develop, update, and maintain training materials and curricula.
• Facilitate certification and professional development programs.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with leaders to create compliant policies and procedures.
• Track training completion and report progress to project management.
• Lead change‑management initiatives related to training projects.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating and delivering training or learning programs.
• Strong ability to assess training needs and design appropriate solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
