Training Specialist – Competency & Compliance

About the role

The Training Specialist partners with subject matter experts to design, develop, and deliver competency‑based training programs that ensure regulatory compliance for assigned client groups. This individual contributor role manages training matrices, curriculum content, and eLearning modules while maintaining the training calendar and on‑the‑job training plans.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs to create curriculum content and technical documentation.
• Develop and maintain eLearning modules and other learning materials that meet company visual standards.
• Coordinate and schedule training activities, ensuring 100% regulatory compliance.
• Maintain training calendars, competency profiles, and on‑the‑job training plans.
• Conduct gap analyses, recommend development solutions, and source external courses/vendors.
• Lead needs assessments, manage the training development process, and obtain Governance Committee approvals when required.
• Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to track learner progress and generate compliance reports.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of training needs assessments, adult learning theories, instructional design, and project management.
• Experience managing competency profiles and training matrices in a regulated environment.
• Ability to work independently with client‑group leadership to drive compliance outcomes.
