About the role
The Technical College System of Georgia is seeking a full‑time Training Specialist for its Georgia Quick Start office in Cartersville. You will support Quick Start projects by delivering high‑quality training services and developing instructional resources.
Key responsibilities
- Provide training services for Quick Start projects, including needs assessments and instruction.
- Develop and maintain training materials, lesson plans, and instructional devices.
- Design and build training simulators and other training devices.
- Assist the Director with special projects, operations reports, and training research.
- Evaluate and standardize business processes and tools to ensure consistent instructional delivery.
- Travel extensively within northern Georgia and occasionally outside the state or the United States.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of experience planning, developing, delivering, or evaluating training programs, OR four years of experience delivering training with instructional material development.
- Alternatively, an associate degree with three years of related experience (experience may substitute for the degree on a year‑for‑year basis).
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in management, instructional technology, industrial technologies, or a related field, and three years of experience in a manufacturing training environment.

- Instructional design methodology for manufacturing and large‑scale distribution processes.
- Training needs assessment and task analysis.
- Training material development and configuration of training material packages.
- Design and construction of high‑functioning training simulators and devices.
- Data entry and schedule updating within interactive management systems.
- Delivery of technical training classes.
- Operation of multi‑site training centers.
- Use of training information management systems.
