Training Coordinator

About the role

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Training Coordinator for its Dodson, Louisiana lumber facility. Reporting to the area Superintendent, you will oversee all aspects of on‑site training, ensuring new hires and existing staff receive the instruction they need to work safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate new‑hire orientation and onboarding for external contractors.
• Assist employees in completing online training courses and track progress.
• Plan, track, and schedule maintenance and skills‑progression training.
• Manage site training programs, maintain the training database and filing system.
• Maintain training records for all mill associates, including SEEDS database updates.
• Provide vacation backup for site administration and payroll functions.
• Perform production floor tasks and operate equipment as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three years of clerical support experience or three years in an hourly leadership or safety role in manufacturing.
• Strong commitment to safety initiatives and ability to work a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
• Good judgment, initiative and a solid work ethic.
• Resume detailing education and work history required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using Windows‑based applications.
• Familiarity with SAP, Maximo or other CMMS platforms (preferred).
