Trailer Technician – Semi‑Trailer Maintenance

About the role

Great Western Trailer is seeking skilled Trailer Technicians to join our Houston facility. You will work on semi‑trailers, ensuring they are safe, functional, and ready for the road.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair brakes, electrical wiring, bodywork, lift gates, and other trailer components.
• Install and replace add‑on equipment such as toolboxes, winches, and ramp kits.
• Perform fabrication and welding tasks as required.
• Complete accurate service reports and verify that all work meets quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Own personal hand‑tool set (except in California).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience on semi‑trailers.
• Ability to safely operate hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
