Trailer Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for its Wilmington, OH Service Center. The position offers up to $35.33 per hour, a $2,500 sign‑on bonus, and a full‑time schedule with various shifts. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of trailers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic procedures, repairs, and preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare required FMCSA documentation.
• Interpret technical manuals and ensure work meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
• Test equipment for proper performance and document results.

Required profile

• Experience performing safety inspections and preparing FMCSA safety documents.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and work in varying climate conditions.
• Own a complete set of personal tools.
• Dependable and prepared for shift work.
