Trailer Mechanic – Full-Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Trailer Mechanic for its Lakeland, FL Service Center. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $26.11‑$32.74, a week of vacation after 90 days, and access to company‑owned employee resorts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic procedures, repair work, and routine maintenance on trailers.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare required safety documentation in compliance with FMCSA and other regulations.
• Test equipment to verify proper performance and ensure work meets manufacturer specifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience with safety inspections, trailer preventive maintenance, and equipment testing.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 lb and willingness to work in varying climate conditions.
• Own personal tools and demonstrate dependability.
