Tower Technician

About the role

Parsons is seeking experienced Tower Technicians to join its Federal Solutions team, supporting the assessment and improvement of the nation’s communications and navigational aid tower infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Travel with a team of technicians to perform structural condition assessments of tower foundations, steel members, connection plates, and associated equipment such as microwave dishes and antennas.
• Adjust tower guy cable tension, realign towers, and ensure proper grounding and lightning protection systems.
• Complete checklists, document conditions with photographs, and provide detailed reports to customers and management.
• Meet with tower owners, clients, and landowners to discuss findings and recommended corrective actions.
• Consult with engineers and management to develop improvement plans.

Required profile

• Safe work history and mindset.
• Comfort climbing towers up to 400 ft (generally less than 200 ft).
• Computer and written/oral communication skills.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Required skills

• Current or recent tower climb and rescue credentials.
• Construction/steel erection knowledge.
• Guy‑wire tensioning expertise.
• Proficiency with Leica Total Station equipment.
• Familiarity with fall‑protection standards.
