Tops Manager

About the role

Star Retailers is looking for a dynamic Tops Manager to oversee daily store operations in Phoenix. The role ensures smooth running, excellent customer experiences, and meets financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and assign staff to meet operational requirements.
• Review gross profit reports, set promotions and drive sales.
• Analyse stock‑take, ranking and sales data to optimise inventory.
• Authorize invoices and timesheets and perform daily spreadsheet analysis.
• Maintain profitability by achieving sales targets and desired gross profit margins.
• Train, guide and motivate store staff while enforcing company policies.
• Identify customer needs and adjust product offering accordingly.
• Manage stock levels, negotiate pricing, prevent expired stock and approve contracts for merchandise.
• Implement security measures, ensure a safe environment and comply with legal requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in a retail environment.
• Enthusiastic, dynamic team leader with strong verbal and written communication.
• Proven leadership and customer‑management abilities.
• Customer‑service orientation and solid understanding of basic business management processes.
• Computer proficiency; qualification in Business Management/Administration is a plus.
