About the role
Adient is hiring a Tool and Die Maker for its Battle Creek Seating Component location. Working under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the maker repairs dies and makes adjustments so they run according to customer standards. The position requires completing all required training from Adient and its customers.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot conditions in a production setting
- Perform die set operations
- Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies
- Perform quality checks
- Perform other duties as required
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1-2 years of experience in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar
- 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive dies
- Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending on rework
- Able to stand 8+ hours and walk to assist in seat build and rework
- Able to work the second shift
Preferred: Journeyman Tool and Die card from the Department of Labor. Rate of pay: $37.54 - $39.14 per hour.
