Tire Mechanic – Full-Time (Shift 4p-2:30a)

About the role
RLC is seeking a Tire Mechanic to work the 4 p.m.‑2:30 a.m. shift at its Lakeland, FL service center. The role involves changing, repairing and maintaining tires on Class 8 tractor‑trailer fleet vehicles.
Key responsibilities
- Mount and dismount truck and car tires and operate the truck balancer.
- Repair and replace tires on Class 8 fleet vehicles to company standards.
- Identify wheel types, fasteners and whether a tire is a retread or new.
- Properly tighten wheels using a 1‑inch air wrench and basic hand tools.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of commercial tire experience.
- Ability to lift up to 125 lb and stand on concrete for extended periods.
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) and a valid operator’s license.
Required skills
- Mounting and dismounting truck and car tires.
- Operating off‑ and on‑truck balancers.
- Knowledge of DOT tire information and out‑of‑service criteria.
- Identifying retread versus new tires and appropriate fasteners.
What we offer
- Hourly pay ranging from $23.13 to $29.95.
- One week of vacation after 90 days of employment.
