Ticket/Gate Agent – Customer Service (ORD)

About the role

Delta Air Lines is seeking enthusiastic Ticket/Gate Agents to join its Chicago (ORD) airport team. As the first point of contact for passengers, you will ensure a smooth, safe, and welcoming travel experience from check‑in through boarding.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the check‑in and boarding processes, including seat allocation and gate announcements.
• Verify travel documentation and assist passengers with ticketing and baggage check‑in.
• Tag, lift, and transfer baggage from scales to conveyor belts (up to 70 lb).
• Operate loading bridges and open, close, and secure aircraft doors.
• Escort unaccompanied minors and passengers with disabilities throughout the airport.
• Adapt to variable shift schedules (early morning to overnight) and work 20‑40 hours per week based on seniority.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication.
• Basic digital literacy and ability to pass a Physical Ability Test and Customer Service Assessment.
• Commitment to safety, security, and inclusive service.
