Threat Intel Manager, CBRN-E & Advanced Weapons

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Threat Intel Manager to lead its CBRN‑E & Advanced Weapons team within the Threat Intelligence group. The team is responsible for detecting, investigating, and disrupting attempts to misuse Anthropic’s AI systems for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosives, and advanced weapon development. The manager will build the program, hire experts, and guide investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Own strategy, priorities, and outcomes for the CBRN‑E & Advanced Weapons mission area, evolving it into a rigorous investigative program.
• Hire, manage, and develop investigators with deep expertise in biological, chemical, and weapons‑development threats.
• Lead investigations into misuse of Anthropic’s systems for CBRN‑E or advanced weapons development.
• Advance detection capabilities from broad harm screens to CBRN‑specific signals in partnership with collections engineers.
• Set analytic quality standards based on threat‑actor behavior, open‑source research, and public weapons programs.
• Make escalation and enforcement decisions together with policy and enforcement teams.
• Engage with government agencies, biosecurity and chemical‑security communities, and scientific organizations.
• Inform safety‑by‑design and capability‑evaluation strategies by forecasting AI‑enabled threat scenarios.
• Serve as liaison to government partners, providing regular briefings and reports.

Required profile

• Intelligence analyst, policy expert, or researcher with deep domain expertise in biosecurity, chemical defense, or weapons development.
