Test Lab Engineer

About the role

Join BASF’s Performance Materials team in Wyandotte, MI as a Test Lab Engineer. You will operate the Cellasto Test Lab, performing static and dynamic testing of Cellasto components to support sales, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and chemical development groups.

Key responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic testing of Cellasto parts using complex mechanical test equipment.
• Maintain lab systems, including calibration and preventive maintenance, to meet automotive customer expectations.
• Identify and resolve test equipment performance issues and breakdowns.
• Ensure diverse customer requirements are met on time within lab resource constraints.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a strong engineering background with lab experience.
• Excellent communication, planning, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across functions.
