Test Engineer (Pump Testing)

About the role

The Test Engineer will be responsible for testing a variety of pumps—including API, vertical turbine, NC and ISO models—according to established standards and quality plans. The role also includes coordinating third‑party inspections, calibrating and maintaining test equipment, and supporting the company’s quality management system.

Key responsibilities

• Test pumps (API, vertical turbine, NC, ISO) following test standards and QA plans.
• Prepare and maintain test system documentation specific to each order.
• Coordinate and witness third‑party inspections as required by customers.
• Perform periodic calibration and preventive maintenance of test instruments.
• Capture, consolidate and analyse test data, and generate improvement plans for the testing department.
• Investigate customer complaints, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in mechanical or pump testing.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and QA documentation.
• Ability to analyse data, identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for root‑cause analysis.
