Test Engineer, Mechanical/Fluids

About the role

Radiant Industries is developing portable nuclear microreactors and needs a Test Engineer to lead critical test operations for the Kaleidos reactor. You will work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment, turning complex hardware and software designs into safe, repeatable test procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Test Conductor/Test Director, executing test plans and ensuring alignment with real‑world execution.
• Collaborate with design engineers to create innovative test methods for fluid, electrical, and structural components.
• Plan, conduct, and document qualification and acceptance testing of the Kaleidos reactor.
• Identify and qualify suppliers for component fabrication.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives for test processes and data quality.
• Maintain compliance with DOE and NRC standards in all procedural documentation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in test planning, execution, and risk mitigation for complex hardware.
• Ability to integrate hardware for test campaigns and perform post‑test inspections.
• Strong analytical skills for data review and performance analysis.
• Experience working in regulated environments (DOE/NRC) is a plus.
