Test Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Test Engineer to join its Gilbert, AZ facility, supporting the development of spaceflight hardware for NASA and defense programs. You will work on Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) design, software development, and test documentation in a collaborative, performance‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manufacture EGSE for Moog Broad Reach products, including custom test boxes and cabling.
• Select commercial off‑the‑shelf test instruments and integrate them with custom hardware.
• Develop VxWorks test code in C for embedded single‑board computers.
• Create LabVIEW VIs for instrument control, monitoring, and user interface.
• Write Python or PERL scripts to automate test execution and data collection.
• Produce and maintain assembly drawings, schematics, parts lists, and test plans using Visio, Excel, and Mozaix.
• Document integration, environmental, and acceptance test procedures for customer deliverables.

Required profile

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in hardware test development.
• Proficiency in C, LabVIEW, Python or PERL programming.
• Experience with Windows tools such as Visio and Excel.

Required skills

• Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) design.
• VxWorks development (C).
• LabVIEW VI creation.
• Python and PERL scripting for test automation.
• Familiarity with VHDL for FPGA programming (a plus).
• Documentation using Microsoft Visio, Excel, and Mozaix.
