Terminal Operator

About the role

The Terminal Operator ensures safe and efficient handling of electronic equipment at Sprout’s IT asset disposition terminal. You will manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of devices while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and coordinate truck drivers, verify load numbers, and manage driver documentation.
• Oversee safe handling, receipt, and dispatch of electronic equipment, ensuring proper documentation.
• Organize and maintain all relevant paperwork and system records.
• Collect and enter data accurately into Sprout’s inventory system.
• Inspect equipment against Bills of Lading, photograph items for records, and verify product details.
• Meet customer‑specific handling requirements.
• Conduct cycle counts, manage stock levels, and perform outbound scanning and sealing.
• Update load status in real time and perform regular safety checks and drills.
• Execute quality control checks to ensure equipment meets standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in IT asset disposition (ITAD) or a similar environment preferred.
• Experience in inventory management or related field required.
• Ability to recognize various consumer and commercial electronics.
• High situational awareness with a strong focus on safety.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with inventory management software.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Basic arithmetic and data entry skills.
