Terminal Manager

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to lead operations at its Muskogee, OK service center. This full‑time position oversees all aspects of the terminal, ensuring safety, profitability, and high‑quality service for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial performance, including revenue, cost control, and yield improvement.
• Direct hiring, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and educate staff, fostering a high‑performing team.
• Support account managers in acquiring and retaining customers.
• Implement action plans to meet productivity and service targets.
• Maintain safety, security, and loss‑prevention procedures in line with OSHA and DOT guidelines.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment for the facility and equipment.
• Prepare and submit financial, operational, and safety reports.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL industry practices and relevant regulations (DOT, OSHA, hazardous materials, NMFC, tariff rules).
• Strong organizational, logistical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Muskogee and surrounding areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
