Terminal Manager

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to lead operations at its Norristown, PA service center. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the terminal, ensuring safety, profitability, and high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial performance, including revenue targets, cost control, and yield improvement.
• Direct personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
• Develop and educate staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Support account managers in acquiring and retaining customers.
• Create and execute action plans to meet productivity and service goals.
• Maintain safety, security, and loss‑prevention procedures in line with Company, OSHA, and DOT standards.
• Ensure the facility and equipment remain clean and safe.
• Prepare and submit financial and operational reports as required.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL industry practices, DOT regulations, OSHA laws, hazardous‑materials handling, NMFC, and tariff rules (preferred).
• Strong organizational, logistical, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
