Tenure‑Track Assistant/Associate Professor of Law

About the role

Saint Louis University School of Law seeks a tenure‑track or tenured faculty member to join its downtown campus beginning Fall 2027. The position focuses on teaching and scholarship in business, commercial, contracts, and real‑property law, with opportunities to contribute in international/comparative or labor and employment law.

Key responsibilities

• Teach core courses in business, commercial, contracts, and preferably real‑property law.
• Develop and deliver curriculum in related areas such as international/comparative law or labor and employment law.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish in reputable law journals.
• Participate in public service and community outreach aligned with the school’s Jesuit mission.
• Contribute to departmental service, including committee work and student mentorship.

Required profile

• J.D. degree from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated academic excellence and a strong record of teaching promise.
• Potential for high‑quality scholarly output in the relevant legal fields.
• Commitment to the values of faith, service, and social justice.

Required skills

• Expertise in business, commercial, contracts, and real‑property law.
• Ability to teach and develop curriculum in international/comparative or labor and employment law (preferred).
