Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Endocrinology & Metabolism

About the role

Tulane University School of Medicine’s John W. Deming Department of Medicine is seeking a tenure‑track faculty member to advance research and education in Endocrinology and Metabolism. The successful candidate will join the Section of Endocrinology and Metabolism, contributing to scientific discovery, mentorship of trainees, and collaborative initiatives across the university. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to build an independent research program while engaging with a vibrant academic community in New Orleans.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scientific experiments, analyze data, and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Secure sponsored funding and manage grant programs to expand research activities.
• Train and mentor students, post‑doctoral fellows, and early investigators.
• Collaborate with the broader university community on interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
• Engage in community outreach and translational research initiatives.
