Temporary Service Technician – Union Chapel Hill Student Living

About the role

This temporary position supports the Union Chapel Hill student‑living community by performing technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and fully functional.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident‑generated work orders and perform corrective repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks across the property to reduce future failures.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch‑lists, and coordinating vendor services.
• Inspect and maintain building systems, fixtures and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Document all work performed and update maintenance logs accurately.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical or technical issues in residential settings.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor and lift equipment as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
