Temporary Lecturer – Sociology (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking qualified temporary lecturers to teach undergraduate sociology courses at California State University, Fresno. The position is part‑time and may involve in‑person, online or hybrid delivery, depending on the schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures for courses such as Intro to Sociology, Critical Thinking about Society, Race & Ethnicity, Social Science Statistics, and Contemporary Social Issues.
• Develop and grade assignments, quizzes, projects, midterm and final exams.
• Hold regular office hours and provide academic support to students.
• Adhere to university and system‑wide policies as outlined in the Academic Policy Manual.
• Ensure classes meet scheduled times and formats throughout the semester.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Sociology or a closely related field.
• Eligibility to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship provided).
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate students.
