Temporary Full-Time Nursing Faculty (AY26/27)

About the role

Dallas College seeks a temporary full‑time faculty member to teach nursing courses for Academic Year 26/27. The position involves delivering high‑quality instruction, developing curriculum, and supporting student success in a campus environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned nursing classes in line with course descriptions, syllabi, and institutional policies.
• Provide students with comprehensive syllabi, attendance records, and timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate course records, submit final grades by deadlines, and certify attendance.
• Develop and update curriculum and instructional materials, individually or collaboratively.
• Employ diverse teaching methods to address varied student backgrounds and learning styles.
• Assess student learning regularly and adjust instruction accordingly.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing or a related discipline (or with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
• At least one year of documented teaching experience.
• Commitment to continuous student learning, academic honesty, and high ethical standards.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and foster collegiality.
• Bilingual or multilingual ability is preferred.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check (and fingerprint check where applicable).
