Telematics Manager – Hybrid (Webster/Boston)

About the role

Join MAPFRE as a Telematics Manager and lead the strategy, innovation, and execution of telematics capabilities across the Personal Lines portfolio. This hybrid position will be based in Webster, MA, and will work closely with product, actuarial, data, IT, and external technology partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute MAPFRE’s telematics strategy and multi‑year roadmap.
• Lead rollout and expansion of telematics programs across states and product lines.
• Drive innovation to improve underwriting precision, pricing sophistication, risk segmentation, and customer value.
• Manage strategic vendor partnerships, including selection, performance management, and RFP processes.
• Oversee integration of telematics data into core business systems, ensuring data quality, scalability, security, and operational effectiveness.
• Partner with actuarial, data science, and analytics teams to develop predictive models and enhance rating algorithms.
• Lead state expansion initiatives while collaborating with compliance, legal, and product teams to meet regulatory requirements.
• Influence senior leadership with data‑driven insights and strategic recommendations.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration to align telematics initiatives with broader business objectives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in telematics, product management, data analytics, insurance, or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering successful telematics or data‑driven initiatives.
• Strong ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
