Technician III – Production Technical Operations (Day Shift)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technician III for Production Technical Operations on the day shift. The role focuses on operating and maintaining highly automated equipment used to manufacture contact lenses, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant production.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment, including preventative and basic electrical/mechanical repairs.
• Coordinate resources and workflows to meet production and quality requirements.
• Support material flow to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor output quality, process data, and address deviations or defective products.
• Maintain accurate daily production records and documentation for compliance and performance tracking.
• Review work orders, schedule resources, and align with production plans.
• Adhere to GxP, SOP, and regulatory requirements, ensuring complete documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve downtime events and implement improvements.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and performance metric reporting.
