Technical Team Lead – eCommerce Platform & Backend Development

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Team Lead to drive the delivery of a large‑scale eCommerce platform built on SAP Commerce Cloud and to shape the backend services that power our B2B and B2C experiences. This full‑time, permanent role is 100% remote and operates on an EST schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead agile delivery of eCommerce platforms and core services.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Own integrations with SAP, Salesforce, Okta, and marketing systems.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with Experience Engineering and DevOps teams.
• Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Apply AI‑assisted development practices to boost productivity.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high‑performing engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven technical leadership experience in large‑scale eCommerce environments.
• Strong background in backend development, API design, and system integration.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (or comparable platforms such as Shopify Plus, Magento, CommerceTools).
• Experience integrating Salesforce, SAP, identity, and marketing solutions.
• Familiarity with incorporating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Codex) into the software development lifecycle.
• Deep knowledge of system design, scalability, and Agile practices.
