Technical Support Specialist

About the role

The Technical Support Specialist will be a primary point of contact for all IT needs across Booth & Associates’ six offices. Working on‑site, you will install, integrate, maintain, and troubleshoot software and hardware, while collaborating with the IT Manager on larger issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support to technical and non‑technical users for software and hardware issues across multiple locations.
• Administer and support the latest Windows operating systems and engineering applications.
• Provision and deploy workstations, user accounts, applications, and related IT resources for new and existing staff.
• Manage IT inventory, coordinate repairs of laptops, desktops, accessories, and phones.
• Travel occasionally to offices for onsite support, equipment deployment, and project assistance.
• Diagnose and resolve core networking problems (switching, routing, Wi‑Fi access points).
• Maintain documentation for warranties, instructional guides, and SOPs.
• Assist in creating training materials and SOPs for both IT staff and end‑users.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in technical support or similar roles.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet resolution deadlines.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and collaborate across multiple offices.

Required skills

• Windows operating systems (latest versions).
• Windows Server environments.
• Help‑desk software such as EasyVista and Samange (preferred).
• Remote desktop access tools.
• Fundamental networking knowledge (switching, routing, Wi‑Fi).
• Hardware troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, accessories, and phones.
