Technical Support Engineer II – Hybrid (Houston/Scottsdale)

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Technical Support Engineer II to join its Technical Support Team. The role combines deep technical problem‑solving with direct customer interaction, supporting a broad base of industrial clients, including Fortune 100 companies. You will work in a hybrid model, spending at least three days per week on‑site in Houston or Scottsdale.

Key responsibilities

• Complete a structured onboarding and product ramp‑up program to gain expertise in AVEVA’s software portfolio.
• Own and drive resolution of complex technical issues for customers remotely and on‑site, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Mentor junior team members through knowledge sharing, case collaboration, and formal training.
• Deliver public training classes to help customers maximize software value.
• Analyze support data and trends, communicating insights to account teams and customers.
• Participate in cross‑functional meetings with Sales, Product, and Services to provide technical guidance.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the support organization.

Required profile

• Proven ability to apply software troubleshooting theories and principles.
• Experience delivering technical support in a customer‑facing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor peers.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
