Technical Specialist – Softlines

About the role

Provide technical, client and business line support to the Americas region and global business line for consumer products, focusing on softlines, hardlines, toys and juvenile products. The role involves driving new product opportunities, managing regulatory services and ensuring technical governance across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of industry best practices and provide technical insight to clients and colleagues.
• Develop and update internal SOPs, methods and work instructions for assigned service lines.
• Respond to technical inquiries promptly and accurately via the Tech Inquiry Mailbox.
• Design and deliver technical training sessions across the Americas.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update testing methodologies to ensure compliance.
• Support resolution of technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement of global processes.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of analytical chemistry concepts, processes and equipment.
• Ability to interpret regulations and standards and communicate findings.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capacity to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and travel up to 20% within the USA.
