Technical Sales Engineer – Cutting Tools

About the role

Seco Tools, a global provider of metal cutting solutions, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to represent its portfolio in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX region. The position blends technical consulting with sales activities to help manufacturers across multiple industries improve productivity and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow business with end‑user customers and distributor partners.
• Consult customers to design metal‑cutting solutions that meet their specific manufacturing needs.
• Develop new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts.
• Travel 50‑60% of the time throughout the territory to engage with customers and partners.
• Balance technical solution selling with territory planning, sales administration, and reporting.
• Allocate effort: 60% end‑user account management & new business, 25% distributor channel management, 15% territory planning and administration.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of successful technical, consultative sales experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Strong technical aptitude with proven experience in metal‑cutting or manufacturing solutions.
• Ability to work independently from a home/virtual office.
• Proactive, self‑directed, results‑oriented with a solution‑driven mindset.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region and reside inside the territory.
