Technical Release Specialist

About the role

The Technical Release Specialist oversees the end‑to‑end release lifecycle, ensuring software deployments are reliable, efficient, and low‑risk. This role coordinates engineering, QA, product, and operations to standardise processes, improve release quality and accelerate time‑to‑market.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain repeatable deployment practices, structured release workflows and clear rollback plans.
• Serve as the central communication point, aligning engineering, QA, product and operations to prevent bottlenecks.
• Oversee testing, validation, risk assessments and provide day‑to‑day support for release inquiries.
• Plan and schedule environment refreshes, manage sandbox creation and upkeep.
• Define production deployment windows and coordinate with technology and product engineering stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 4‑6 years of progressive software development experience with at least 4 years of hands‑on Salesforce deployment.
• Experience managing application change delivery in an agile environment.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule and implement releases in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting.

Required skills

• Salesforce expertise: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Framework, Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, Einstein Chatbot, Communities, Analytics Studio, Data Cloud.
• Copado, CI/CD pipelines, Git version control.
• Programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security models, sharing rules and governance.
