Technical Project/Program Manager – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role
Applied Materials designs and builds cutting‑edge equipment for the semiconductor and display industries. The Technical Project/Program Manager will develop comprehensive project plans, lead cross‑functional initiatives, and ensure successful delivery of equipment and services to internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans and lead projects from conception through implementation and deployment.
- Contribute to project strategies, processes, and resource planning.
- Manage schedules and task execution using project‑management tools, status reports, tracking charts, checklists, and scheduling software.
- Drive cost, schedule, and performance objectives for equipment and deliverables.
- Support cross‑functional design teams composed of internal, external, and matrixed resources.
- Provide technical input and guidance to team members.
- Interface with engineering, operations, supply chain, and business stakeholders.
- Identify project risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program or project management, engineering, or supply‑chain management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Engineering or technical background in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
- Strong program‑management experience leading cross‑functional initiatives in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with semiconductor components, OEM parts, process power systems, advanced materials, and mechanical/electrical assemblies.
- Experience working with global suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, influence, and negotiation skills in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to analyze large data sets, synthesize insights, and present findings to senior leadership.
