Technical Project/Program Manager III – New Product Transition

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Project/Program Manager III to lead the transition and release of new semiconductor products into manufacturing. This role sits on the product commercialization core team and represents manufacturing throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project plans and coordinate deliverables from planning through implementation, maintaining a matrix for process improvements.
• Drive project tasks using reports, tracking charts, and checklists to ensure on‑time, on‑budget performance.
• Align internal resources to meet schedule and cost objectives and report cost performance to the business unit.
• Participate in intra‑business‑unit design teams and contribute to technical development toward project goals.
• Research obstacles, propose solutions, and support resolution of project issues.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in project management and an understanding of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices, market competition, and how manufacturing integrates with product development.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and may lead small, low‑risk projects.
• Solves complex problems, communicates sensitive information, and builds consensus across teams.
