Technical Project/Program Manager – Display CVD

About the role

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is part of a multidisciplinary Project Management Office within the Applied Materials Display CVD organization and leads cross‑functional technical projects from concept through execution, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met. The role partners closely with engineering and business stakeholders to define requirements, build integrated plans, track risks, and provide clear status reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and task tracking using standard tools, continuously improving them through automation and standardization.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams of mechanical, electrical, process, and software engineers, as well as external partners, to meet project requirements and timelines.
• Identify gaps, execution risks, and process inefficiencies; define corrective actions and drive closure to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Champion productivity improvements by driving adoption of automation, digital workflows, AI‑assisted tools, and data‑driven project management practices.
• Provide technical and business process expertise to support standard programs, escalations, and issue resolution across the organization.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Familiarity with semiconductor and/or display equipment product development methodologies.
• Experience managing physical product releases and driving design releases to aggressive schedules.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent practical experience) and at least 3 + years as a dedicated project/program manager supporting technical teams.
