Technical Project/Program Manager – Automation

About the role

Applied Materials is looking for a Technical Project/Program Manager to join the Automation Technology Group. You will lead cross‑functional projects that drive automation, process improvement, and operational excellence across our manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver automation projects across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Define scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with engineering, operations, IT and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate controls, mechanical, software and operations teams, managing timelines, budgets, risks and dependencies.
• Work closely with automation vendors and system integrators to ensure on‑time, high‑quality deliverables.
• Facilitate design reviews, FAT/SAT testing and commissioning of automation equipment.

Required profile

• Strong technical acumen with experience in manufacturing automation and system integration.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• Salary range: $116,000 – $159,500 per year.
