Technical Project/Program Management Manager V

About the role

Lead research, development and engineering initiatives for the Metal Deposition Products Service Business Unit, supporting Applied Materials' BEOL customer base. Drive new service product development, continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration to exceed customer and business expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage BEOL program for research, development and engineering, including new service product development performance.
• Develop service product roadmaps, manage product portfolios and investments.
• Lead customer application understanding and new product introduction.
• Ensure on‑time delivery, cost and quality of new products and technologies.
• Oversee project management, product lifecycle processes, continuous improvement programs and ECOs.
• Support quality, productivity and sustaining engineering initiatives with customers and operations.
• Partner with strategic sourcing and supply chain for new product related sourcing needs.
• Coordinate sampling field quality processes with commercial resources.
• Build strong cross‑functional teams across geographies and external partners.
• Communicate R&D progress to senior executives and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Higher Science/Engineering degree (Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, Physics, Electrical or related); MS or PhD preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in materials deposition, semiconductor applications or services.
• Proven track record in new product introduction and program management.
• Experience with AI and automation concepts is a plus.

Required skills

• Materials deposition processes (PVD, CVD, ALD) and plasma technology.
• Program management and product lifecycle management.
• Project Management (PMP) methodology.
• Knowledge of semiconductor BEOL applications.
• AI and automation awareness.
