Technical Project/Program Management IV

About the role

This position leads research, development and engineering program management for BEOL metal deposition service products within Applied Materials' Metal Deposition Products Business Unit. The role works cross‑functionally to drive new service product development, continuous improvement and product vitality for semiconductor customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage R&D and engineering programs for BEOL metal deposition service products.
• Lead customer application understanding and new product introduction efforts.
• Ensure on‑time delivery, cost control and quality of new products and technologies.
• Develop and execute project management, product lifecycle and continuous‑improvement processes.
• Support quality, productivity and sustaining‑engineering initiatives with customers and operations.
• Partner with technology and strategic‑sourcing teams for new product sourcing needs.
• Lead sampling field‑quality processes and collaborate with field commercial resources.
• Build strong cross‑functional teams across multiple geographies and external partners.

Required profile

• Higher Science/Engineering degree (Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, Physics, Electrical or related); MS or PhD preferred with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience with materials deposition, plasma systems, PVD, CVD and ALD technologies.
• Proven track record of new product introduction and strong program‑management expertise.
• Customer‑focused mindset with deep Voice‑of‑Customer (VOC) experience.
• Excellent communication, critical‑thinking and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Materials deposition technologies (PVD, CVD, ALD).
• Project Management (PMP) and product lifecycle management.
• Continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of AI and automation (preferred).
