Technical Project Manager – PMO

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin semiconductor chips and advanced displays. The WMO Technical Project Manager – PMO will lead projects from conception through implementation, coordinating resources and ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project plans and drive projects from conception to implementation, participating in strategy and process development.
• Manage project schedules, task details, and reporting using project management tools and scheduling software.
• Coordinate allocated resources across the division to meet performance objectives and manage purchase requisitions and orders.
• Drive cost‑schedule performance of equipment for worldwide customers and vendors.
• Participate in multifunctional design teams, providing technical input and resolving project complications.
• Interface with division stakeholders to define objectives, provide status updates, and prepare releases.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise in a specialized engineering or business discipline.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
• Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate risk and complexity.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to devise innovative solutions.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex concepts and negotiate viewpoints.
