Technical Project Manager (E3)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Project Manager (E3) to lead cross‑functional teams in the introduction of new semiconductor manufacturing products. The role is based onsite in Austin, Texas and focuses on driving product commercialization and manufacturing readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a matrixed team of engineers, project managers, procurement and supplier engineering to deliver program milestones.
• Coordinate with Pilot Manufacturing to ensure early‑learning builds meet target dates.
• Resolve operational issues between business units, pilot operations and volume production.
• Partner with product management to develop and execute commercialization plans.
• Analyze designs with engineering to improve volume manufacturability.
• Manage risk exposure through production maturity analysis and reporting.
• Develop schedules, cost estimates, budgets and documentation for new product introductions.
• Prepare high‑level presentations on program status for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) with an MBA.
• 6–8 years of experience in project or program management, data analysis, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Working knowledge of SAP and experience developing Excel macros is a plus.
