Technical Program Manager, Supplier Engineering & Quality

About the role
Lead cross‑functional initiatives to improve quality performance across Applied Materials' global supply chain. You will develop and execute project plans, coordinate with internal customers, and drive continuous improvement in supplier engineering and quality processes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage multiple programs/projects to enhance supplier quality performance.
- Develop project plans from conception through implementation, defining strategies, processes, and resources.
- Ensure objectives are clearly defined and agreed upon across cross‑functional teams.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to achieve performance targets for programs and initiatives.
- Interface and coordinate with internal customers and provide status reports to management and stakeholders.
- Utilize project management tools such as Jira, SmartSheet, and MS Project to manage schedules and tasks.
- Identify and resolve potential complications, developing solutions for program issues.
- Develop and improve business processes, dashboards, metrics, and applications used to manage supply‑chain quality.
- Contribute to organizational strategy and Annual Operating Plans (AOP).
- Provide program management and business‑process expertise to support team members.
Required profile
- 7‑10 years of experience in high‑tech or industrial sectors, with at least 3 years in program/project management.
- Bachelor’s degree required; PM certification strongly preferred.
- Experience in quality management systems, quality audits, or assessments is a plus.
- Proven ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best‑practice process improvements.
- Strong leadership in high‑risk, complex projects and strategic execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal negotiation skills.
