Technical Program Manager, Security

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Technical Program Manager, Security to lead high‑stakes security programs that support its Responsible Scaling Policy. The role bridges security engineering, compliance, infrastructure, product, research and policy teams, translating complex security requirements into actionable programs on tight timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end execution of RSP security readiness programs, driving workstreams from requirements through implementation across Security Engineering, Infrastructure, Research and Compliance.
• Coordinate multi‑team deployments such as endpoint hardening and egress reduction, managing change across engineering organizations.
• Make real‑time technical trade‑off decisions, balancing security controls, research velocity and operational feasibility.
• Build program structures for emerging security domains, creating charters, defining roles, timelines, communication strategies and success metrics.
• Partner with third‑party infrastructure providers, handling contract requirements, relationship management and security assurance.
• Lead stakeholder communication and executive reporting, preparing status updates, company‑wide communications and program reviews to keep leadership informed of milestones, blockers and risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience driving cross‑functional projects and longer‑running programs while interfacing with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience delivering technical programs that require systems‑level and engineering knowledge.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity or regulatory compliance, with willingness to deepen expertise.
• Experience leveraging large language models (LLMs) to automate workflows or improve operational efficiency.
