Technical Market Development Representative

About the role

Sift is seeking a Technical Market Development Representative to own a portfolio of named accounts across aerospace, defense, and industrial engineering. You will research complex engineering organizations, identify technical and executive stakeholders, and secure conversations through personalized outreach. The role partners closely with an Account Executive and sales leadership, offering a clear path to senior GTM positions.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of named accounts and drive outreach from first touch to qualified meeting.
• Map account organization structures to identify decision‑makers, champions, and technical stakeholders.
• Prioritize accounts using signals such as funding, leadership changes, program announcements, and industry news.
• Identify new, unnamed opportunities by mapping emerging markets and adjacent verticals.
• Run personalized, multi‑channel outreach (email, LinkedIn) tailored to technical buyers.
• Partner closely with the assigned Account Executive to align on strategy, maintain pipeline visibility, and ensure smooth hand‑offs.
• Maintain accurate CRM and account records.
• Travel to industry events and customer sites when directly supporting a named account.
• Use AI‑assisted tooling to synthesize account research and draft outreach efficiently.

Required profile

• 1‑4 years of experience in a customer‑facing, high‑performance environment (B2B sales development, consulting, program or capture support, or similar).
• Strong written communication skills; ability to craft outreach that feels specific and researched.
• Comfortable owning a portfolio and prioritizing tasks with minimal oversight.
• Highly self‑motivated and able to work independently.
