Technical Lead, Mining Autonomy Platform

About the role

Applied Intuition’s Mining Products team is building the autonomy stack for large‑scale autonomous mining operations. As the Technical Lead for the Autonomy Platform, you will own the foundational platform that enables autonomous mining vehicles to operate reliably in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical direction and mentor engineers on the Autonomy Platform team.
• Collaborate with the autonomy product team to shape roadmap and align with customer requirements.
• Design and implement the low‑level vehicle controls interface, including drive‑by‑wire integration and system identification for new mining platforms.
• Build and maintain the software platform for health monitoring, diagnostics, telemetry pipelines, networking, and OTA deployment.
• Lead 0→1 bring‑up of new mining vehicle platforms and develop long‑term production‑scale systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical teams in embedded or autonomy‑focused projects.
• Strong understanding of hardware‑software integration for vehicle control systems.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with middleware, sensor driver, and deployment framework teams.
