Technical Accounting Intern

About the role

This internship supports the Technical Accounting & Controls and External Reporting teams on a variety of projects and daily tasks. You will gain hands‑on experience analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and maintaining internal controls while working closely with senior accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in technical accounting research for US GAAP and international standards, interpreting guidance to document appropriate accounting treatment.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the External Reporting team for SEC filings and other non‑recurring projects.
• Prepare journal entries and cash‑flow summaries for complex intercompany transactions.
• Maintain process documentation and corporate accounting policies.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and the global statutory audit process.
• Contribute to ESG reporting aligned with emerging compliance requirements.
• Analyze, create, and post journal entries in BPC and SAP S4 Hana.
• Review business contracts to identify key accounting considerations.
• Assist with internal control activities, including walkthroughs and documentation.

Required profile

• Undergraduate major in Accounting or Finance, entering senior year with at least three years of study.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation).
• Familiarity with SAP S4 Hana.
• Basic knowledge of accounting information systems.
