Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Sr Manager

About the role

CooperCompanies is seeking a senior manager to lead technical accounting and financial reporting within its Corporate Finance organization. The role is based in San Ramon, CA and focuses on external reporting, SEC compliance, and complex accounting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports (Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K).
• Oversee consolidated cash‑flow reporting and related disclosures.
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors for quarterly reviews, annual audits, and interim procedures.
• Review and report stock‑based compensation accounting.
• Research, document, and evaluate technical accounting issues related to contracts, M&A, debt offerings, derivatives, new standards, and corporate accounting.
• Monitor emerging accounting standards and SEC developments, assess impact, and drive implementation.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda and support policy development.
• Identify process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support SOX 404 compliance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in technical accounting, SEC reporting, and external audit coordination.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance.
• Ability to interpret complex transactions and communicate implications to stakeholders.
• Experience with stock‑based compensation, cash‑flow reporting, and SOX compliance.
