Tech Services Technician II

About the role

The Tech Services Technician II is responsible for testing, analyzing, repairing, maintaining and installing electrical, electro‑mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to keep facility operations running smoothly. The role requires hands‑on expertise with a wide range of equipment and control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on all company equipment, including conveyors, material handling systems and lighting fixtures.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and schematics to assemble, troubleshoot and repair machinery.
• Install and service electro‑mechanical components such as solenoid valves, hydraulic valves, clutches, brakes and related control hardware.
• Operate, test and maintain facility vehicles (forklifts, pallet riders, RC trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment.
• Complete accurate work orders, preventive‑maintenance logs and other required paperwork.
• Utilize a full range of hand and power tools, test equipment (meters, scopes, analyzers) and machine‑shop equipment for repairs.

Required profile

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills (basic arithmetic, geometry, algebra).
• Physical ability to lift ~60 lb objects and work at various heights.
• Good time‑management and organizational capabilities.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of SDI screens, WCS/WSS, machine‑control systems.
• Proficiency in wiring, motor hook‑ups, conveyor assembly, chain, sprocket, belt and sheave repairs.
• Experience with electro‑mechanical installations, solenoid‑controlled valves, relayed switchgear.
• Competence with standard mechanic tools, power tools, drill presses, micrometers, calipers, pipe cutters, lathes and vertical mills.
• Basic PC skills (Windows, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with programmable‑controller based machinery control.
